The impressive thing about you is that you love me without even knowing all of me
You just do
Where is this love coming from that you have it unconditionally?
Even in my sleep I feel the presence of it
Glowing
Illuminating
Constantly aware of possible changes that may occur in the intensity
But always knowing that the foundation is secure

Can I reciprocate?
Am I emotionally and physically able to give you what you want?
I pride myself in satisfying you
But, sometimes that is only temporary…
I have never been permanent
But you always felt the promise in my kiss
The commitment in my touch
The adoration in my smile

As our rings show off the union that we have laid out for each other
I pray that it is just another example of the kind of love that I have for you
And I also pray that I don’t hold back in my love, I don’t hold back in my thoughts of longing for your embrace
And if I ever stray away from the opportunity of denying myself you for me, I deserve every malicious and contemptible thing that may arise before me
