I have given you words plucked from the skies
The words that were once stars
I cradled you in my arms
Like you were a warm sunbeam
Touching me with your warmth
I have given you my body which was once mine
Aflame with the searing touch of your love
I seek the quiet strength of your arms
To take me through this journey of life
Once I was me and you were you
But now we are we
Together in this bond of love
