My Love Poem by Christina Simmons

My Love

Not having a love of my own,
Someone to see as my love,
Someone to cherish,
Protect as my love

My horoscope says there'll be NO love for me!
Yesterday it said, I'd meet my love
Today it's saying there's no love for me

What is a girl meant to do? When she has no love
Any love to call her own: EACH week I buy flowers
Pink carnation for love
Red ones hoping to get some passion
A passionate woman needs a passionate guy

Someone to call my love A magnet for me
A man serving my every need
My want for love
Venus has nothing on moi....

Mate of my dreams, LOVE of my life
Keep my fire burning, retaining the flame alight my love

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
Words to this poem came to me at a time when I felt very alone and desired and craved the attention of the opposite sex but some reason I wasn't getting a look-in. That's not to say I wasn't an attractive female - in fact had all the right ingredients.
