My Lover Poem by robyn nathan

My Lover

Rating: 5.0

My lover
the winds are rising in all directions
the leaves fall revealing naked limbs
winter is here
the last season

My lover
I woke to the thoughts of your flesh
I am in flesh that is consumed and consuming until full
then my spirit will soften and dissolve into this union
resting

This day my lover will pass
as all pass
I recognising my illusion
of time
of never-ending
to come to the truth of this flesh
let it speak this moment of great joy
which is not illusion in my heart

A beautiful train of thoughts, well articulated and nicely encapsulated into a love poem. A nice piece of poetry. Thanks for sharing and do keep it up. Please read my poem THE PHOENIX STRANGLER.
