You have never failed me
No matter how much I doubt you
Wilfully or unwilfully
You always come through for me
I envisage myself I wonder in awe
Why you keep me safe always
Is it because you are the good shepherd
My Lord is my shepherd
I wake up in your hands
I move in your glory
I prosper in your spirit
Is it that you loved us so much
You gave us your only begotten son
We see ourselves as too special
To feel His pain in redeeming us
At times when I am rejected
I just think of my Saviour
Rejected by all to the point of death
Dying at the hands of those He came to save
Who am I then not to be rejected
Who am I not to be dejected
I am a child of God
Exonerated by the blood of Jesus
The one special love I have
The one I cannot shake off
The one who accepts me for who I am
A lamb with a good caring shepherd!
