My Man Poem by Nadia Marie

He would be gift that I live for
The man that I’ll always adore
The air I will forever be breathing

He would give me life
And I know he’s all that I need
As he could calm the storm in my heart

I would feel refreshed and new
And so glad I know you
All these words don’t feel enough
It makes me want to send a thousand letters and cards
Showing you the special place you hold in my heart

Who is this man who for so long I have seeked
Who is this man I wait to be his African Queen
I sleep with thoughts of him on my mind

Looking forward to finding him by my side
He suddenly came into my life
And like the rising sum he was able to open my eyes
To find that he’s always been in my life

How foolish I have been
For my dream man has always seen
That I was the only one he would ever be with
And so for this I can love no other than him
