My Many Wonders Poem by Alyssa Marquardt

My Many Wonders

Rating: 5.0

Aren’t memories just dreams that we’ve dreamt before?
Why does a loving touch bring more excitement than winning an award?
What is the cat thinking when it hisses at you?
What messages does the wolf send to the moon?
Does she send back her own regards?
Isn’t life just a hand of undealt cards?
Can the wrong road be the right road to take?
Is the sky above the earth real or merely an illusion?
Doesn’t every ending come with it’s own other conclusion?
Could we survive with no stars to shine
in the pitch black sky?
Could are hearts sing if life had no rhyme?
Doesn’t fate share laughs, thoughts and tears with time?
Could we live without the things we had
if we didn’t know what we were missing?
Do the sky and the ocean know that they’re kissing?
Is the beginning the end and the end truly the beginning?
What if the world got tired of spinning?
Could the moon’s faithful guidance ever deceive us?
Could we all be slaves to some higher level?
Does time purposely slow down the pain?
How can sorrow and joy both come from the same rain?
Are the trees always faithful to the wind-
or do they ever dance to the rhythm of the rushing rivers?
Does a parallel universe exist in the future or past?
Are we really the only individual just like us?
Are illusions really illusions or could they be something we can touch?
How much really is enough?
Do the light greens and bright blues in our sight
look like dark yellow and rich reds in someone else’s eyes?
