My Mask Poem by Crystal Pierce

My Mask

Rating: 5.0

My mask covers my face,
from the fear all over the place.
It tells my lies,
as it covers my tearful eyes.

It hides my frown,
as I stroll through town.
It makes me seem to smile,
but let someone walk in my shoes for a mile.

I can't show my face to you,
if that's what your asking me to do.
I won't do it for anyone,
not in the dark or in the sun.

My mask covers the pain I feel.
I can't take it off, it makes me feel healed.
I may tell you lies,
but I don't want you to hear my cries.

Your mask is so thin. Everything is showing- every bit of your emotions. Fantastic poem.100+ May God bless you, child!
