My Mom. (From Her Perspective) Poem by tiffany fawcett

My Mom. (From Her Perspective)

My mom
I expect that the drama life brings will work itself out
I dream about my children making me proud
I wonder about the decisions I make and how they affect everyone
I worry about my children's well-being
I think the future will be like a rainbow, colorful and a symbol of the end of hard times
I expect that we will hold each other's hand the whole way
I trust that all our memories, as a family, will be painted in my mind like art
I question whether this is how we were meant to live
I hope that god tells us that we are doing fine and to keep on letting life take it's toll
I expect that no mater how far we are from each other, we will always be one
I do not expect that we will always be one
I do not expect that we will break like a thin sheet of ice
I know that we are fire, untouchable
I want tomorrow to be another step in our life
When I am 80 years old I hope to look back and smile
I expect to know my family better than myself
Tomorrow better not be a 'normal' day
Tomorrow is what you make it
I feel that life is just a test
I expect the unexpected.
