My Multiple Roles Poem by RAJ NANDY

MY MULTIPLE ROLES

In this single life I try to play many
parts, all at once!
Trying to live many lives, with its
varying light and shade; -
As a husband, a father, a sincere friend;
As a poet, an artist and a medical man,
Trying to perform the best as I can!
Aspiring to feel and live life,
Through its various facets and being;
Like an actor in plays, in their multiple
roles and scenes!
Where some get applauded and
remembered,
While others are soon forgetten;
To be buried in the depths of darkness,
Like those unclaimed bodies,
With none to shed tears over their
graves!
Yet the totality of these varied
experiences,
Add colour, flavour, and perhaps
some meaning and sense,
To our mundane earthly existence!
As we inhale the invigorating fragrance
From the myriad blossoms in the
breeze of life,
Which the succeeding seasons forever
bring!
