My Neighbor The Pig Eater Poem by Chuy Amante

I live in the country
all have small farms
some have animals
some bees in swarms

on one side my neighbor
raises and eats pigs

on the other side in one
who raises and eats kids (goats)

interesting behind me
is the one with the dogs
a southeastern asian tradition
eat them with frogs

why is your pet so much better
than your neighbor's animals?
kill them eat them, feel like
the ultimate dominator manimal

OR

give up the blood-thirsty
addiction you rarely notice
eat from the garden
and BLOOM LIKE A LOTUS!
