My Neverland Poem by Michelle Tiddy

My Neverland

Rating: 3.5

I've been searching a long time
For this elusive place
My own perfect wonderment
With magic and grace
And fairies and dreams, never growing up
Always taking on my wing
Searching for the clock to break
And shatter into a thousand pieces

Neverland... does it exits
Or is it only lurking
In the corners of our heart
Those places we feel, but can't quite reach
Proffering intangible elements of peace..
Or in our mind, an oasis of pleasure
A virtual reality of treasure
Where we succumb to the fanciful

Peter Pan, would you fly down
And whisk me to your playground
Where I can run with the Lost Boys
Chase pirates, escape Crocodiles
Encase my soul in your world
Of irresponsibility and dreaming
Is it the second star to the right?
Oh! if only I could take flight!

I'd soar right until morning..
And live for ever and a day
Writing the story of my life in
Three chapters.. Would you come
With me, would you fly alongside
And revel in this glorious ride
Find solace, when you hold my hand
Bouncing along the clouds to home

So, sprinkle the fairydust right now!
Breathe it into your hearts
Believe, believe, believe! ! ! ! ! ! ! !
Close your eyes, tightly, there! !
You have it! And now you're escaping
You're free! ! Don't be afraid, remember
To die, would be an awfully big adventure
But for now, I'll hold you safe in my Neverland.
