When I went out one night, the air was filled with rain
I walked through empty streets, my heart was full of pain
A thousand tears were washed away and fell in to the drain
As certain as you love the rain, my heart is still in pain

My pain and I keep company, while waiting for your call
We´re walking hand in hand like friends, our love will never end
And if for reasons not explained, my pain should leave me now
My loneliness would make me feel, I miss him as my friend

I know your call may never come, I´m waiting all in vain...
I wonder if I´ll ever get to speak to you again
You know how much you meant to me, because you broke my heart
