My Parent's Beliefs Stink Poem by Chuy Amante

My Parent's Beliefs Stink

Rating: 2.0

Who at 19 hadn't figured out the world?

Had discovered the truth, their sword did wield!

'My parents are dumb, their beliefs stink
why don't they open up
and learn and think?

Now I'm on the other side and got
that thrown at me

Now a new chance
to open up and see?

What if the youth, do have it right?
Follow them should we
by day and by night?

Newness is in the now
the stale old in the past
enlighten our minds
our bodies don't last

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
Of course my point of view was better then my parents, and theirs I'm sure were better than theirs and so on...
So those youthful point of views of today, must
be more Illuminated than mine (mine are getting stale)
and I can't wait to observe nature's best display
or karma, grandkids! ! !
