My Path Poem by Connor Brennan

My Path

As I walk I am torn
This path is hard
I’m in a storm
I continue
Pushing threw
Wondering what
I’ll come to
Told to quit
Everyday
You’ll never make it
Is what they say
I lower my head
And trudge on past
I’m trying hard
But I can’t move fast
I want to quit
But not today
I’ve walked too far
To come this way
So onward
Does my body go
Tears come down
I’m moving slow
To get to this place
That I seek
I must push my body
To its peak
I may not make it
They may be rite
But no matter what
I will walk on threw the night.
