Kissing that perfect face is what today might be.
How it ended I still rewind in my head,
And end up crying on my pillow in my bed.

Reminded that war broke yesterday-leaving suspense,
Agony echoing in this African land is so intense,
Fear and insecurity are all these bereaved souls can sense.

I'm caught up in this snare,
Which Untangling I'm unable,
The helplessness is all I behold,
And this pen in my hand models unto a snake.

I hereby pen down this plea,
Plea for an intentional flee,
One that enchants my heart to be free,
A feeling that stops me-I can read.

Cast deep in my silence,
Generosities I continually receive.
‘Justed my ego hasn't,
Forever thankful will I be!

I am an avid dreamer.
I try to palliate the fact,
With hopes jaunting out uncontrollably,
Seamless ideas hovering over me,

Ductile me you used to own,
Stubbornly I left you face frown,
Irate you grew, from headstrong me oh so brown,
I that still culminated your daily joy- you gave a crown.

Deep in that damp alley,
When pathways are yet to valleys,
I slowly tread the way cautiously,
And the silence to me speaks so softly.

While the moving world passes by,
The white lilies sprout round,
The sweet smelling wind edifies,
But to that I remain stagnant.

Hallo O' dear world,
Your beauty my eyes has stunningly struck,
Engulfed in the warmth of the womb I was,
