My Pillow Poem by Israh Sadan

My Pillow

Rating: 5.0

Pillow soft pillow wide
Muffled sobs of tears I cried
Between silent sobs
Hear your steady exhale
So safe in slumber
Won't hear my swallowed wail.
Pulling each, stretched cotton sheets
Backs turned
Love spurned.
Fast asleep, far in a dream
Too far to hear me scream.
But even were you wide awake
You wouldn't hear my insides break.
For only Pillow soft and wide
Is where I all my sorrows confide.
