My Pledge. Poem by Suraj Motiwala

A New year has come, with a yet another chance to earn my diadem.

I have lost respect, I have lost trust, Emotions of others and much more I have crushed.

I disdained my Dad, I disobeyed my Mom.
My Sisters, My Brothers dissimulated their thoughts.

To my Brothers I insulted, I left my Friends dejected.

For my temporary pride I hurt my permanent relations.
I joked on others emotions...

I often judged people, I often rebuked people.
I did not control my tongue...
for now I realize my foolishness, now I seek forgiveness...

Now, I will learn to face Humiliation.
I will practice renunciation..

By the grace of God I have realized all this,
hence for the cause of God i will utilize all this..
youngsters like me in multitudes are suffering are unaware of the Message of God.
I must strive to revive dead souls by conveying the Writings of Baha'u'allah

Once it was stated..
'The field is indeed so Immense, The period so Critical, The cause so Great, The Workers so few
the Time so short, The privilege so Priceless, that no follower of the faith of Baha'u'llah
worthy to bear his name can afford a moments hesitation'

I will be, I mean I will try to be Truthful
I will prove myself to be Fruitful...

The world is marching towards Destruction
I must contribute to its Construction..

I will impart my Knowledge
I will work for Peace.
My language will be Pure.
My heart sanctified.
My actions, My proof.

Now, I will start my another day, grab the moments and opportunities I missed yesterday.
Lord give me strength, forgive my sins, cleanse my mind, bestow your Mercy, Allah'u'abha!
