My Poems Are Not For Those

Rating: 3.0

My poems are not for those
Who are not willing to read
Who have no brain to understand
Who lack austerity and devotion
And who find fault with others.

COMMENTS OF THE POEM

From an attempt to Joseph Campbell into this poignant piece, I would say this is a call for poetry that can break the spell of social duty, but at the same time lost in the reality that poetry has never really accomplished anything but contradictions: love & loneliness; beauty & rage; war & murder; great & noble. This is a poet Plato would have indicted. The former Japanese Shinto militacracy would deem a thought criminal. I'd read your poems to my death, or extraordinary rendition, just to force them to read it against me. (And this is just the first poem I've read from this poet) ...
