My Ruby Jean Poem by norman hale

My Ruby Jean

You give me kisses in the morning
You snuggle right up to me at night
You tell me just how you love me
As I'm layin there in the morning light

You're always happy to see me
No matter where I've been
While others look at me
Like leavin here is some sort of sin

You seem to have a sixth sence
Of knowing when I'm sick
You cheer me right up
When you do a funny little trick

You don't see any stangers
You go and check them all out
And if they don't pay attention to you
You just might go over and pout

When it comes to friends
You have that unconditional love
With those sad brown eyes
Sent to me from Heaven above

Some tell me that you're spoiled
Some say You might get mean
But, I just wanted you to know
How much I love you ruby jean
