My Sacrifice Poem by Matthew Buck

My Sacrifice

When I want to do right, I still do wrong,
Only in you, am I made strong.
No one could ever, love me like you,
More than a carpenter, son of a Jew.
No other man can sanctify,
Only in you, My Sacrifice.

'Get off the cross' they yelled at you,
Whipped and beaten black and blue.
With a host of angels at your command,
You my God had other plans.
All for sinfulness you died,
The Son of God crucified.
Only your blood could pay the price,
Thank you my Lord, My Sacrifice.

I could never comprehend,
How you love me and call me friend.
With all the evilness in this place,
Still you are full of unending grace.
Exchanging hell for Paradise,
Trusting in you, My Sacrifice.

My life's been changed I am redeemed,
My guilty stains washed and cleaned.
He did it for me, he can do it for you,
You just have to believe in the Word so true.
Believe in the one who can satisfy,
This can be found in my sacrifice.

My Sacrifice is Jesus Christ!
My Sacrifice on a cross was trice.
My Sacrifice is God made flesh!
My Sacrifice each day refresh.
My Sacrifice is divinity!
My Sacrifice in Trinity!
