My Secret Hiding Place Poem by Courtney Pacheco

My Secret Hiding Place

Rating: 5.0

Laying in bed looking up at the purple stars,
The stars that glow so bright on my ceiling.
I cry from the pain that has always haunted me,
The haunting of the ghost from my own soul.
I have nothing to fear it says,
But for me I fear everything.
Death, heartbreak, love, people, creatures,
The monsters that take control of my thoughts and secrets and turn it into the most painful visions you could ever image.
The man with the yellow and black eyes look down on me,
Laughing in my face saying I'll never make it.
Who are you? Who am I?
What made these horrible things come alive?
If only the creatures were as nice as the purple stars,
Then maybe the future could be as bright as the ceiling in my secret hiding place.

A reminiscence of perhaps past troubles or dillemas..interesting. This is filled with emotion and foretelling. Good work
