    This is a perfectly lovely children's poem. I would have loved it when I was a child and the child in me still responds with joy to its rhythm, rhyme & the playfulness with which the idea/description is written. (10 from my inner child, smiling with remembrance!)

    CJ...very good. I liked the idea of having the shadow 'hooked' on. As I read more and more of these wonderful poems for children, I realize that I'm attracted as much to the voice in the poems as to the content and words, which are always clever and surprising.
