My Sister And Me Poem by Linda Patino

My Sister And Me

Sister we may not see each other every day.
You’re always in my heart. May we never drift apart.
We’ve shared so many things together.
God sent us as sisters to be there for one another.

We have wiped each other’s tears
For our Mother that is no longer here.
When life is hard and seems so unfair.
You can count on me I will always be there.

It hurts me to see what we are going through
It hurts even more knowing there is nothing we can do.
If there was real magic I’d wish our pain to go away.
But all that is left for us to do right now is pray.

I don’t like to see you in sadness or see you cry.
At times I see your pain you try so hard to hide.
Weed out the regrets of time reaped from the past.
Life is short, and time keeps moving much too fast.

Our love as sisters will nourish us through every path we take.
I promise to you the bond we share as sisters I will never break.
