Missing a friend must be so hard. i can understand it. you have written this one so deeply with your inner feelings. i love it. Nice poem.

This poem is made up of 3 2-line passages: the first two couplets show the problem, the last one shows the failure of a solution. The core problem is a cosmic collapse when the moon loses its gravitational force and the darkness resulting scares you, but then another cosmic failure: stars' nightly shining is replaced by crying. And you realize you cannot correct these disasters because of the moon's initial collapse. Despite your fear of darkness, you want to intervene and help., but that's where the poems ends - with good intentions paralyzed. From you note, I realize this poem is not a science fiction scenario to play out in action. It is symbolic of how helpless you feel because of missing friend. That makes the poem one 6-line metaphor of loneliness. I like that because it shows how truly youvalue this friend.
