As Father’s Day came and went
I couldn’t seem to start
To write my feelings down for you
So deep within my heart.
It’s so difficult to say it all
With so many passing years
You were here dad for me always
Through happiness and tears.
I think about my childhood,
My dad so tall and strong
How lucky I have always been
For our tightly woven bond.
I remember as a little girl
The special poems you’d read
You took time from your busy life
To fill so many needs.
When we came home late at night
You’d carry me to bed
So many special memories
That I’ve never really said.
I love you dad, and always will
Thanks for being who you are
For loving, caring, working hard
You’re the very best by far!
(My dad is gone now, and has been for many years. I wrote this poem while I could give it to him. He loved it!)
Your love and compassion come bursting through the lines of this special poem. I'm so glad he lived to read it. love, Allie xxxx
I'm sure he did Marilyn, it is delightful and now a lovely tribute to a loving Father. Thank you for putting it on Ph for us to read. Love and hugs Ernestine XXX

I would like to translate this poem
I can feel how difficult it would have been to gather all those images of your loving father and to put it on the paper for this poem. I am sure he was as Nice as this Poem. Really really wonderful. Thanks a lot for sharing the same.
