My Stranger Poem by Randy Bolton

My Stranger

We Met As Strangers

We started out
On a wonderful journey
When we were too young to care,
And too naive to realize.

We met as strangers,
And parted with little difference.

I searched and worried
And wondered where you might be.
For you left our sights
Without a word.

And now,
As before,
Like strangers from the past,
We meet again.

And now I know
As I watch you standing there,
No matter what happens,
You will never leave my thoughts.
Nor will your touch be forgotten.
And the mere mention of your name,
Will always strike a beat in my heart.

And because of this I know,
That should we chance to part,
We will,
Once more,
Meet as strangers.
