My Tablet Shelter Poem by Marwan Daou

My Tablet Shelter

“‘Calmed down through daydreams,
Laying across inside wide empty capsules,

One full stirring moment
During
Mute shining visions,
Incredible fantasies,
And one lover’s enticing embrace; ”

“Another full paralyzing moment
As
My sleepless eyes anxiously gaze at myself,
The knowledge of what is real horrifies me,
The lament over what it can never be becomes permanent;

Beating around within my body -and without-,
Craving gravely to tear down my tablet shelter; ”

“Another full weakness…
Moment behind moment…
Pill over pill…
Tracing my life line,
‘Kept me Looking down, for all time,
To remain on track along my retired declining journey; ”

~Yet Not Fate Will Overcome This Mortal Combat
Since Ancient Before I’ve Been Expiring Myself~
