My Teacher Poem by Tayyab Ijaz

My Teacher

Rating: 5.0

All the world's a school,
And all men and women merely learners,
They have their stages to learn,
One man in his time learns many things,
From cradle to grave man learns,
He learns a lot......
All good, all bad,
I am also a learner,
I learnt a lot.
To read, to write, to earn, to survive,
Then you walked into my life.
You, my beloved, my sweetheart.
You are also my teacher.
You taught me how to love, how to live.
You taught me what Loyalty is.
You taught me what Selflessness is.
You taught me what Sacrifice is.
You taught me what Happiness is.
And much more than that.
But
What makes you a different teacher?
You taught me what Pain is.
You taught me what Despair is.
You taught me what Loss is.
You taught me what Jealousy is.
You taught me what Loneliness is.

And above all..........
You taught me how to live without you.
How to live a life like death.

You are my teacher.
I respect you a lot.
