My Tomorrows Poem by Darren Harris

My Tomorrows

Rating: 3.0

I have been abused,
Had my trust misused,
Trying to fit in on life’s journeys,
I’ve cried a river of tears over the years,
I lost my self dignity,
And my hope on them journeys,

I’ve ran along life’s highways,
And I’ve walked along life’s byways,
Searching for a place I can call home,
Because when it rains it pours down on me,
And I find myself feeling all alone,

I’ve thumbed lifts in cars,
And got drunk in bars,
Trying to drink away my sorrows,
Abused as a child made me timid and mild
And I’ve lost my today’s,
My yesterdays and my tomorrows
Abused as a child made me timid and mild,
Lost my today’s,
My yesterdays and, my tomorrows.
