My Twilight Poem by brittany west

My Twilight

I sit in darkness
While my tears fall
Cascading like a waterfall of despair
Pain, sorrow, and unhappiness is all I have ever known

I sit in coldness
While my body shakes
And the tears keep coming
While the horrid thoughts run in and out
Making a weave of guilt and heartbreak

I’m full of scars
Where you let me fall, where u messed me around
While I was pushed into corners
Corners that I now call Hell
Hell which has now become my life

This life you left me in all broken and frayed
Where you let my mirror crack so I appeared weak and useless
And in a moment I did feel lost, forgotten, and tortured
And now that you have left me I still see you
I still see the broken walls; the scars you have given me will never fade
And as I wash away into the darkness of abyss I become dead, lifeless, and forever afraid
