My Valentine! Poem by Neela Nath Das

My Valentine!

Rating: 5.0

I'm sunk under the
shadowy thought of green
not of envy, but of
nature's serene scene,
a canvas never fades,
and love sublime!
I'm nature's daughter
and nature's valentine!
I drink solitude
of Birch, Oak and Pine.
Don't pull my hands,
you are not mine.
Yes, I know, you care
little my tender-self,
what's unfair, you treat as fair.
But, nature gives me help.
And you? You snatch my peace,
tearing me and my soul
into thousand piece.
Tell me what can I do
except hugging the woodlands
and sky-kissing hills and sky?
Be as nature, and take my waiting hands.
