My Voyage Poem by Hannington Mumo

My Voyage

I'm going far but the pace seems so slow,
Its many years after I decided to go
But the winds of fate do my motion mar,
Yet this is a journey I must not defer.

Six years after this great resolve,
Fresh fears and doubts every day evolve;
Oftentimes I wonder whether the voyage of greatness should halt,
And methinks I hear a voice speak to my heart:
'Soldier on flagging soul,
All the broken dreams will be resewn whole.'

I intend to keep walking while I can
What storms dog my trail,
For with God I never can fail,
And even if for a moment I stagnate,
I know that it can never be too late.
