My Wave Has Not Yet Come Poem by Amit Sharma

My Wave Has Not Yet Come

Rating: 5.0

As transient as the next big wave
Your friends will wash across your soul
I thought in you I would find my tide
You were one more for the road.

Crash into me, change my shape
Though you can not change my direction
Stay with me,
Though as I see
All of us were meant to be
As come and go as the turbulent sea
Experience happiness then rejection

As other waves approach your shore
You beg for more
The one before was the only one
That you knew,
Had existed.
As Frost did say
Way unto way
His path lead him to wonderful days
And in this is my message
Leave the shore
