My Wish Poem by Feyisayo Anjorin

My Wish

I wish to stop missing you,
I wish to stop wishing too;
I know it's wishful thinking,
I knew from the first inkling,
That this exchange of desire Between us
Will not stop or pause.
So lady T, let's make our heart rest,
And keep giving our best.

I may travel many miles
Far beyond Pharaoh's blue Nile,
But I'd still be fine
Thinking of your smile,
And the days we wined and dined,
The days when the storms were harsh,
And we waited for the sun to shine;
When love made you mine,
And wise eyes saw the signs,
They thought we've lost our mind
But we didn't mind.
They thought we were drunk with wine,
And we smiled and said we're fine.

These memories will keep me wishing
That our love will not be a starting without finishing,
And finishing strong in the end of time.
