Myriad Sprouts Of Life’s Excitement

I got excited by the easy with which I could spread my wings
All over the sprouts of life’s excitements
My mind spiked with a myriad of all possibilities
I believed I could do anything because I had already done
Quite a few things with no difficulty
I kept the momentum of exploration without any purpose for no purpose
If this is not life, what is it? I thought
I became a star on the decks and the doldrums
I thought this is it!

Alas, with the pass of years I found my scores low and equal on all sprouts
Spellbound by the true champion of single sprouts of life’s excitement
I could rise to any occasion but never shine like stars
I was a paper tiger, large but light over the ruse
Not surprising I was called the jack of all trades and a master of nothing

I was a grasshopper jumping all the time not because I loved aerobics
But because I was attracted by the myriad of life’s excitement
The road ahead became narrow and forced me to see less of the wide vineyard
Sooner I relented, tired of the frolics of experimentation
That was the dawn of realization that I have a seed to nurture
Until it is capable of giving forth the everlasting fruits out of a specific sprout of life’s excitement
Perhaps my play was too much

I covered many miles before dawn
I passed many milestones at which some people stopped to rest forever
Because God’s purpose for them has dawned
Never too late to nurture my talent
The long find is not equal to the nurturing of the sprout to perfection
It depends what route I took, what mountain top I stood on
To reconnoitre the myriad sprouts of life’s excitement
