Myself Forever Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

Myself Forever

Rating: 5.0

I have loved myself forever
Not because I have craze or fervor
Not because of strong poor background
Or born in a family so unique to be found

There is no doubt in mind
That I have been of my own kind
Very straight and simple
Always willing to share the struggle

I listen to what my inner conscious says
Suggests me sound suggestions or ways
I never doubt thought conception
As I have built some kind of unique relation

What am I on this beautiful earth?
What reason I have to defer with the wishes of almighty before death?
I find none so decide to raise voice
I got to struggle and go ahead without any choice

I know world is selfish so I am too
I try to live different and prove
I have no means to stand like rock
But have enough of strength as stock

I am totally powerless and weak
Have no voice of my own to speak
So I seek blessings and remain among
My own people to think of going no wrong

I seek forgiveness for committing an error
That shall be made known to me ever
Yet I try to be reasonable with my brethren
That remains my priority and concern

Oh god, grant me vision and means!
Where by I can stand as simple human
Not will all means as an influential man
But as ordinary as possible to be lay man

I shall be true to my own version
Keep little space of advice and concern
If at all that comes to me or pointed out
Otherwise what is there in life to talk about?
