Mystery Person Poem by Katheryn Foley

Mystery Person

Like a bird on the wire I can feel the fire on my heart,

Singing the sweetest melody as if to put my mind at ease,

Then it leaves, wishing I didn't hurt so much,

walking slow searching for my crutch to help me along,

And I start singing this song about a girl who felt so wrong,

She couldn't quit put her finger on it but she just felt that she had to quite,

People never seem to change and you don't have a clue on who's to blame,

No matter how hard you try, you just cant make the right choice,

So stupid was I to just let you slip by without a chance of getting you back.

And the one I left for you notices even more than me the emotions that I feel,

Now I'm left with nothing but a broken heart and a field of tears,

nothing to hold onto, can't tell where I will end,

So say goodbye to all that's on my way and for the ones that want to stay they can,

I won't stop running until I find the one that I can crash into without pain.

Only seems I fall every time I try to call for help,

Always in pain is this like a game? will I ever win?

Never know where to go, always spinning in circles,

Getting so tired of running so wired,

I fall to the ground without a sound,

not a single breath, not a single tear, not a perfect cry will you ever hear.

Its the end we all fall sometime on this journey of life

and have to be left there until the right one finds us and takes us in.
