Myth 7 Poem by Ahmad Shiddiqi

Myth 7

Rating: 5.0

Eurydice was burying the Gold Sword in black dune
Persephone was kissing warmly the def shepherd
Eupalinos Tunnel was covered by the bouquets of jasmine
Were People of Assini telling how to embrace dreams?

Medusa had been killing the one-eyed knight
Summer breeze had been flowing on Theopetra
Lost wanderers had been laying on Cave of Cylops
Polycrates Wall had been giving serene impression

Demeter was entering Diros Cave in early June
Stone rain was smashing Cape of Kiparissos
Lion of Amphipolis was glowing in Spring
Aristotle was moving from Verginia to Kithira

(dedicated to a poet friend at poemhunter, Kranthi P)
