Nanna Poem by Natalie Taylor

Nanna

now that you have gone away
i must learn to live another way,
as time passes day by day,
i have to try not to stray.

So hard i cry,
because i have to say goodbye
i wish you had never gone
as now the day seems so long

ill go see her tommorrow
i had said
little did i know that tommorow
you would be dead

i cant deny
no-one said goodbye
i didnt take the time to thank you
for just being you

now its too late
i guess it was fate
that you went now
not knowing how

i wish i could hold you
just one last time
and tell you i love you
till the end of time

well you got what you wanted
now your with bampy
even though the family is disappointed
we know your happy cos your with bampy

even though you tried not to show it
i could see
that 10 years ago it
was where you wanted to be

i know you are here
sat right in that chair
its just not fair
only your soul is here

but we know you are happy
now that your with bampy
even though your glad
we are still very sad.
