Salim Sango (October 21st 1998 / Bafoussam)
Brave one, brave soldier,
Under this sun and storm of rain,
You say you can't fight them anymore.
You say your courage and power;
Your resistance to them,
Are being weathered away.
My man, remember the battles you fought*Under diversified conditions
You challenged the strongest and toughest
You led your countrymen to victory and independence
Away from your master you escaped
To build our Cameroon of today
The land where your efforts, where your sweat
Built the hardest foundation of tomorrow.
But man, you fought
Under diversified conditions
But you say your courage and power
To withstand your present situation,
Is weathering away?
