Nature's Fury Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

Nature's Fury

Rating: 2.8

Nature's fury

I am in no mood to talk
Refuse to breathe fresh air and go for walk
Somewhat I feel uneasy and could think no more
When the people will end thrust to explore?

Have we not gone too far?
Probed so much in sky and now rushing to stars
Entire orbit has become dangerous and risky
We enjoy our achievement by celebrating it with whiskey

On earth many people die of hunger
Bulk of the population starve and suffer from anger
They take to arms and hunt for justice
What has happened to us for not keeping the promises?

Nature has turned rude and now threatening
Sky is ready to strike with powerful lightening
Sea waves rise to alarming level and plunder its coast
We have done nothing to preserve nature and that dearly costs

Tsunami, earth quakes and eruption of lava is witnessed
Its origin with causes is ascertained and traced
Sea waters and mountains are polluted
The nature is reduced and its impact diluted

We hear catastrophe in many pars of the world
The deserts are experiencing snow and getting cold
Snow is melting alarmingly and causing floods
Many parts come under water cause the shortage of food

Despite all this we have turned executioner
Shoot innocent people and make them sufferer
Where else to go for remedy and pray?
So the nature is turning against in all the ways

It was heard occasionally about natural calamity
Now it has become regular feature with continuity
Let us be wise and think seriously about nature's fury
Let each one of act independently and think as that of jury

A great philosophy. Only a matured mind can produce this. And it is proved that life is ephemeral. U K Atiyodi, Kandangali, Payyanur 670307 Apr 18,2012

Yes, Nature's way of showing who's the boss! Although we have a minimal section of people protesting all this, it wouldn't do, the attitude of all should change-Live and Let Live! Hema Ravi, Chennai Apr 18,2012
