Nature's Variety Poem by Tirupathi Chandrupatla

Nature's Variety

Rating: 5.0

Seated at a table
For my lunch
In a cozy corner
Of a family restaurant
I began to appreciate
The neat decor
Live crabs in a pair
Of connected bottles
Dolls and colorful
Flowers that never fade
Beautiful china displayed
On a separating wall.

Suddenly my attention
Was drawn to what
Looked like a rectangular
Aquarium with fish
Of stripes dots and colors
Moving around rocks
They were all moving
With no sound whatsoever
A smooth movement
So delightful to watch
I enjoyed immensely
My wait for lunch to arrive.

As I finished my lunch
I began to realize
The aquarium scene
Started repeating
What I saw at the beginning
Was not an aquarium tank
It was just a computer screen
The program cycle
Just finished
The scenes started over again
I realized the monotony
Of the situation.

An aquarium tank with
Live fish would keep
Changing without repetition
And the scene would
Never be dull at all
Nature is nature
Natural is natural
Nature's variety
Is inimitable and
Is always interesting.

What is produced artificially with a semblance of Natural scenes, however original and realistic they appear to be can never have the ceaseless variety of the actual scenes in Nature! Virtual reality is different from the actual reality! Interesting write!
