Natures Awakening Poem by Johanna Dubensky

Natures Awakening

Rating: 4.0

I've walked in deep green pastures,
With twigs snapping under my feet,
With my dogs trailing close behind me.
With a heart that was light and free.

I've dreamed some beautiful dreams in those pastures
I've solved some difficult problems.
I've found peace and contentment here.
I've looked with clear eyes and clean conscience.

To the past and the future ahead.
I've wondered in the slumbering twilight
With the sky, a flash of blue And gold
I've listened to the chatter of the crickets,
I've listened to the love call of the birds,
I've lived in these colorful pastures.
I've found peace of heart and rest of mind,
I've learned that nature is the leader.
And example of all mankind.
