Needing/Pleading/Speaking Poem by Frankie Renae

Needing/Pleading/Speaking

What is it about you
That can hit me like a ton o' bricks
Throw my face into my hands
Tears fall in, it makes me sick
When everything is goin' only perfect

Split A:
Cauz I was waitin' on a friendship that was never there
Slipped in hand and foot, but I don't care
And while I'm thinking never worth it, thinking for an end
I'm needing, pleading, slash speaking you into a friend

Cauz somewhere around there
I realized bein' in love and lov-
in' someone ain't the same thing
For each laugh and shove you bring
Me to my knees with pain worse than crazy bliss

Split B:
So open up it all to me and pretend
That you can tell me how you really feel
Cauz it sucks when we're always feel the same
But don't show it; how can we step if we won't know it

But somewhere inside you
I realized that maybe you don't, too
Want spend every woke moment
Right beside me, but I do
Wishin' in my prayers for friendship that won't fail
Inhalin' your exhale
Paintin' your picture in my daydreams
You can't quite always live up
To these false expectations
How do you feel while I'm livin' here waitin'

Chorus

And I'm so damn sorry
For changin' my mind all of the time
Gonna Have to excuse me
If you never held my heart
Then you can't break it, but I'm fallin' apart

Chorus
Split A
