Neighbors & Garbage Poem by saloni choudhary

Neighbors & Garbage

We are four, live on same floor
All I want, give garbage, when sweeper calls
It won't lie unattended on corridors, passage, staircase
Keep neighborhood air clean, don't litter around

I could hardly complain to Mr. Aurangabad
He lives alone family elsewhere
How waste is dispose maid takes care
Right on time or pretty late
He leaves early on office cab
Arrives usually late
Not even there to listen when heart aches

Next is Ms Busy, faking hurry
Easy to adjust, hard to believe
Phone to attend, FB status to update
Friends spread in different nations
Very Proactive, gets rid of rubbish before dawn
She drives big car, dropp son to hobby class
Pick daughter back from playschool
Tends to forget it is Sunday sweepers Off
Doors are shut, she is self absorbed

The one who irritates me most is my neighbor with big nose
Demands sympathy and help, her husband is dead
Two gorgeous daughters are headache
She goes to job and pay bills
How long this excuse should last
She wants to keep trash morning, evening whenever she wants
Food leftovers egg shells blood soaked sanitary napkins
I know her brands
cartons of toothpaste, lotion, cream spread across

Living in society needs selfless concern
Stop thinking of gains, benefits, advantages
Do one thing in whole day to please others
(no, not your kid, woman you love or friends you count on, just others whom you don't
know yet)
Free yourself from self centered life
At least throw garbage on time.
