Nemo Repente Fit Turpissimus Poem by Ramona Thompson

Nemo Repente Fit Turpissimus

Nemo repente fit turpissimus
No man ever became extremely wicked all at once
It happens slowly
Over time
From hour to hour
And day to day
Until the maddness consumes the years
Until a man is overcome
Defenseless in the presence of a wicked nature unspeakable
Too long bullied
Too long denied his rightful due
A man will begin to slowly fight back
In any manner or way that he can
He will be willing to do whatever it takes
Even if it means selling his own soul
A man will die
Just for a taste
Ever so brief of revenge
Destoryed
Demolished
Broken down
Once it has begun
There can be no going back
The path of doom laid out before a man
In later years makes of that man a monster most cruel
