I have never met anyone
Never walked in the vapour of someone’s dreams of me
Never had to run in the rain to where someone has fallen
Never been sleepless over tearful shared but lost moments
I have never felt for anything
Never sensed the emptiness when the final curtain closes
Never taken a breath and watched the leaves fall timelessly
Never stood in the wind and held back the tears inside of me
I have never been anything
Never become the endless universe inside another’s heartbeat
Never been pulled in close when two hands are pressed together
Never seen my reflection where the image wasn’t a tragedy

Never since I lost you.
