Never Ending Ache Poem by McKenzie Spaulding

Never Ending Ache

Speaking in hushed tones,
As if you could disrupt anguish.
Silent tears cutting a path along each face.
A single tear dropp can hold many emotions
Joy and Anger
The majority hold sadness.
Standing above her cold lifeless body,
Sends me into a downward spiral of pain.
The image of her lying in a wooden encasing
Where her body would lay forever
Hard and decaying.
Seared onto my brain,
Promising to haunt my dreams.
