Never Extinguish My Burning Desires Poem by Federico del Corazón

Never Extinguish My Burning Desires

It hurts to be with out you,
I'm in so much pain.
Restless in my dreams
I'm tortured with desires
longing to be with you.
I pace the floors back and forth;
I have traveled this path thousands of years.

As I close my eyes
I can see you, Smell you, Feel you, There you are!
I reach out to hold your hand as I grasp a fist full of air.
Vanishing before me, I revive the suffering again.
Each moment awake, a cruel trick is played upon me,
Happiness is in sight as my heart takes flight,
sleep is no friend of mine;
I toss and turn in bed as wishful dreams fill my head.
I must be a mad man to endure such pain.
What spell has been caste upon me,
I can not think without thinking of you.
I can only live for you; my heart is racing again.
Running as fast as I can I am passing my breath.
I am never empty; I’m full of emotions.
The tears that I weep well never extinguish my burning desires.
I know I am alive, this pain is my reminder. You are worth waiting for
To do things right with what my heart desires.
To count our blessings that we have found each other;
I will never let you go. I have found you and you have found me.
Together we will endure until the day We can tell the world
Here, here is the love of my life
